Beautiful view!!!! Love glassing in the mountains and finding animals. That's just the best way to hunt that I know of.

Winter storm forced us out and had to end the hunt early today. Outfitter tried his best. No bulls shot by anyone. Shawheel hunted his butt off. That's hunting.

'Horse didn't like me and dumped me on my arse trying to mount up this morning, in front of most of the other hunters and staff of course. Still beats walking. Glad there was plenty of snow on the ground.

Drying stuff out in the motel room before we head south in the morning.

This morning, before we pulled out.

Even though you did not connect with an Elk, looks like it was a fun hunt in some beautiful country up

We barely made it across Chief Joseph pass with our posteriors intact.

End of transmission. Thanks for the support guys.

I hate snow

That’s a lot of snow. Unfortunate, but it still looks like fun.

We were hanging on to that Suburban for dear life, figuring if we got stuck out there we’d have someone other than each other to cuddle with for warmth. Shortly after that picture the snow really started coming down in earnest. It was hairy.

Disappointed that we didn’t get a shot, but CR is a great hunting buddy and we worked our butts off. It’s beautiful country up there.

Thanks for all the comments guys. 'Tried to check over this briefly and make sure I didn't already post it. Highlight of the hunt? 'bout the 2nd to last day of the hunt, trudging out the trail (with mucho heavy breathing) with Shawheel in front of me, breaking trail (the outfitter/guide was checking ridges behind us and had peeled off), I hear wolves howling. We stopped a minute or two and just listened. 'Always been a bucket list thing for me. It's frickin' awesome.

Hell, I'm ready for another one right now, while knowing how to talk "turkey" to an outfitter is still fresh in my mind.
