We hunted Kansas for the youth pheasant/quail this past weekend. It was a blast. It was cold, wet, and windy. We found tons of birds, but they were all bunched up and hard to approach. My son ended up shooting at 4 roosters and got one. He got two rabbits and got his first quail.

The hens and quail held. The roosters flushed out at about 15-20 yards. We had to kick the grass to get the hens and quail out.
