As I'm sure for everyone else, my suppressor really fouls/dirties remaining rounds in my mag's. Do you guys clean what's unused or just run it? My rifle objected last night to it's less than clean state, the PMAG in it had rounds a few months old from their initial soiling. I use 10's and 20's. Never had to use more than 9 on a sounder, but use 20's more often, just in case. Just thought I'd ask...

I bought an SLR adjustable "bleed off" gas block, I ran 20 rounds full open with no bleed off (like a standard gas block) and the magazine was thoroughly sooted.

I then ran the next 30 rounds with the bleed off feature and it was a night / day difference!

I run the dirty ammo through it. Haven't had any problems yet. There's probably a few rounds in the bottom of the mag that have been in there a long time cause I just top the mag off after a hunt.

Same. Doesn't seem to affect accuracy or lethality.

^^ This. And I also shoot my 300 blk out ammo that gets heavy sooted up from the top rounds in the mag, and no issues. The sooting up is normal shooting suppressed. The adjustable gas block will help reduce this.

I don't have any issues shooting my 6.8 dirty, but I would at some point like to get an adjustable block for it.

Thanks for the replies... I too recently installed an SLR Adjustable Gas Block. I went to the range and got it to where I could run 4-5 through it and called it done. I then installed a Magpul UBR-2 stock which came with a shorter buffer tube. Since then, it's kind of been hit or miss on reliable feeds it seems. I chalked up Sat nights problem to dirty and too dry.

Is there a difference in the SLR Sentry 7 Adj Block is that the same as the Bleed Off block you're talking about?

I should be able to address the changes with the shorter buffer tube via adjusting the gas block, correct?

And yes you should be able to tune the BCG cycling with an adjustable gas block to offset buffer spring and tube changes within nominal limits.

Another area to investigate with the malfunction is if you got the new gas block on perfectly aligned to the gas port, your change of the buffer and stock may be masking this since you changed two things at the same time...

I have their piston kit on my 6.8 & it runs clean & a bit quieter with the bleed off function supressed. Got tired of cleaning dirty ammo. They also give 20% off to Military & LE.
