Shot this hog slightly quartering with a NAP 100 Grain Thunderhead. Old school broadhead for sure, but it does the trick.

Looks like it worked well. Old broadheads killed them in the past and still will
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

All I ever used when I hunted with my compound and over the years they never let me down. I switched to mechanical when I hunted with my crossbow. They just tuned better out of the crossbow.
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

That’s awesome! Probably didn’t run far after that great shot. Thunderheads are excellent broadheads. Like they say “More animals have been taken over the years with Thunderheads than any other broadhead”. I have used them off and on from the 80’s when they were a lot cheaper to buy. I used them the last time about 6 years ago with an old Barnett Wildcat 150# recurve crossbow. That old black crossbow from the 1980’s that you would see in catalogs lol. My buddy had one laying around so he gave it to me, I replaced the limb, bought some Easton bolts, Thunderheads and it will get pass throughs up to 35y with those Thunderheads. It’s a pretty slow crossbow but it’s really quiet with all the Limb Saver stuff on it. I use a Mission MXB-360 crossbow now. I remember when broadheads were a lot cheaper to buy and they gave you 6 instead of 3. Broadheads are way over priced these days and some of the designs are just ridiculous. I started using G5 Montec crossbow broadheads and they are insane!!!! I get excellent flight with them out of my recurves too. I need to pick up some more of them to use with my LX. I like how you can resharpen fixed broadheads instead of having to run around to find replacement blades when they are all out of stock online. Congrats on the hog!

Oh Snap!
I've used NAP Thunderheads for over 25 years. They have never let me down so why change?

Still have a bunch of Thunderhead 125s and they still work, no hype.
