We've never had this problem before, but this year we have two really ugly looking bucks. Take them out before they can do their damage? Or let them go and maybe it's just a fluke? Will they always be jacked up? Is it because of damage while they are in velvet? Let me hear your experiences with ugly bucks.

Good luck enforcing that rule. Each guy on my lease tries to take one cull. First year we were all looking for what we named "Superfreak" on the game cameras. He showed up in front of me, I nailed him and I was proud to take him.

Definitely take em out of the herd. I love deer like that are european mounted. Hang em in a camp house if y’all have one, they also make a way to describe to a new hunter why it is a “cull buck”.

What do you guys think about this one? Look closely at his left side. See the hook by his ear.

I think those odd racks like that are cool. I have a one on my wall. The rule on our lease is a trophy buck and a cull. One of the guys was telling me the other day that he would like to see us take the cull first.

Problem with culling on most places, everyone wants to take the biggest one they can.

Oh, I don't think that is why they do it. It is a second buck, so they want the biggest they can find. I have been guilty of it...

Recently got a gym membership, strange folks! I like to show up the roid zombies with my full motion curls with the 55lb. bells. Not their cheater short stroked light weights. It's holarious.

I think they're cool. Make an interesting euro mount.

Kinda like ugly racked women ... can still be a lot of fun.

Pedicle damage. Judge them by their good side. It's not a genetic defect.

I too think they're kinda cool! It'd be interesting to see what they look like next year.

Letting them go a year is a tough judgement call. Depends on why he went goofy.
We had a beautiful 5 year old 9 pointer, he was tall and wide. As a 6 year old he went stupid looking on the left, we actually named him Wonky and decided to give him another year. He sprouted beautifully as a 195" 9 pointer with a 5" drop to boot.
And then we have had ugly deer just become bigger ugly deer.

Good info, thank you sir.

Well at least I don't have to worry about them spreading bad genetics. First time I've seen anything abnormal out there. So we were very surprised.

I was the first to see him! I spent all night doing a euro mount on him. Sallys beauty supply tomorrow for bleaching supplies.

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.
