Anyone had done or seen a hog rug?
I was thinking of a flat skin rug, no stuffed head. Does it come out OK or is it weird?

Mark
I posted here rather than Taxidermy as this forum gets more traffic and is about the right species.

Hmmm, hog rug.... I don't think so. That ranks up there with possum hats and the like.

I was going to make a bath mat for the guest bath but I got shot down on the idea.

Deerstrangler,
Your "rug" is a little fresher than I had invisioned.
But the look isn't too bad.

On the wall is better than underfoot.
If the the taxidermist give me a decent price I will give it a try.
Can keep the warthog hide company.

I prefer the solid color vs. the spotted. I have te vision of a solid black.
Maybe we can start a new trend.

What will we think of next? I want to hate it but it actually looks pretty cool. Not sure I could sell the idea though, once I got it home.

While a guy has to admire the workmanship that went into doing this, my wife would never allow something like this in our house !
