I was recently blessed to get on board with Christensen Arms' outfitter program, and have a Mesa Long Range being built. Does anyone have any real world experience with the 28 Nosler yet? If so, what loads have you had the most success with?

Yes, that has been my #1 seller lately. I ordered 2000 pieces of brass about 1 month ago, and I'm down to about 400 pieces now. If you have an 8" twist, the 195 Berger EOL is the best bullet. Super high BC, and heavy. It runs right at 3060 fps in a 26" barrel. If you have a 1:9" twist, then any of the 175-180 grain options will work fine. I've loaded a lot of the 180 VLD-H and 175 Hornady ELD-X in these. Both run about 3180-3200 fps in a 26" barrel. The lightest I would go is a 160-162 grain. I have not loaded many of these. The best options, IMO, are the 195 EOL, 180 VLD-H and 175 Hornady ELD-X. Here's my link to some match grade 28 Nosler Ammo. http://dallasreloads.com/product-category/rifle-ammo/28-nosler/

I don't have one but a buddy of mine lifted a sizable doe off her feet...they hit like Thor's hammer.
Congrats...you're gonna like it.

I wish knew how to load videos as I have one of my 28 Nosler hitting a 16 inch steel plate at a Half mile and flipping the stand completely over. I was running the 195 but now the 197gr Sierra. Factory loads I would use the 175 Nosler rounds

Shooting the 195s and 180 eld-m 3012 and 3090 fps respectively out to 1100 yards.
Ensure that you can load to a coal of 3.6 inches in your magazine.

I'll be coming through Dallas going to our ranch in Oklahoma this fall.

If it's not too late, I would switch to a 8 inch twist. The 195s really negate the wind 600 yards for less.

Not sure if you mean actual bullet length difference or the overall cartridge length but I can say to get the most from the 195/197gr you need a longer throat and OAL will be around 3.70 or a tad longer vs factory max is 3.340.

Yes, I'm not sure what you mean by length. I seat the bullets out longer than the normal 3.340". If you are feeding from a small box magazine, like a Tikka T3 or Browning A-bolt style mag, then these will be longer and not fit. It will fit fine in an AI mag, or the Remington BDL, with the hinged floor plate.

I'll need to look, but I seat them about 3.5" to 3.6" something. It's a long round, and the bullet is seated out far.

Will they feed from a 3.600" mag box?

It depends on which bullet, but some do exceed the 3.600". Most shooters who run a 28 Nosler are running a hinged floor plate or AI mag, and can get the 3.650" for a hinged floor plate and ~3.700" length for an AI mag. AI mags in 300 WM can go up to 3.690" ish. I'm under the 3.700", but some bullets are longer than 3.600". If you need me to stay under the 3.600", I can make it work.
