I've been watching this rifle for a while on sportsman guide and it finally hit a price that matched what I had in the piggie bank, so I grabed it. The lower got here a few days ago but the upper arrived today, it's a factory built Anderson predator, 24" fluted SS heavy barrel, target crown, free float hand guard, and extended charging handle upper. With an Anderson lower that came with magpul furniture. So what's the first thing I do? Yank the 3lb single stage velocity trigger I had in my MP 15-22 and the vortex 4-12x40 diamondback I had on my 223 bolt gun, threw them both on, leveled the scope, and now praying it dosent poor rain Sunday so I can go to the range.

Also pulled the bipod off my 223 bolt gun to put on the new rifle but the yankee hill bipod stud to put it on this hand guard isn't scheduled to be here till Saturday, hope it makes it on time!

This is my second AR, haven't really been a fan till I saw this rifle, I'm hoping I keep this one, sold the first one in less than a year.

Thanks guys, I hope it's shoots that good. I've never had a hbar, it weighs a ton, I think just the upper weighs more than my old carbine did lol

Looks great.

Put a LaRue 2 stage trigger in it instead. I have multiple, and they work great.

What's the twist rate and do you load? If it's a 1:8; you should try some 77 grain bullets like Sierra or Nosler. The only other thing I'd do is swap the carbine stock setup for a regular A2 stock. It'll sit in a rest or sand bags better.

Very nice! It should be a great shooter. I agree on the two stage trigger. I would get either the LaRue or a Rock River two stage trigger. If you want to keep the standard trigger setup, I would look at a Spikes Battle Trigger. It is a standard trigger/hammer setup that is Nickel Boron coated so it is smoother and feels a little lighter.

Spike's BT w/JP yellow springs makes for a nice trigger set-up for ~$65.
Good looking bang stick!

I saw that on sportsman's guide a couple of weeks ago and thought about buying it. Great price with good reviews reporting good accuracy. Please let us know how it shoots with match quality ammo. It has a 1/8 twist so you can use almost any bullet weight.

No relation to buzzsaw, I'm the only one in my family on the forum.

What's better about a two stage trigger? I really like this velocity trigger, feels great to me.

A two stage takes all the creep out, and leaves the hammer on a razor’s edge. The end result is a precise break with no creep when the trigger is squeezed. It does take practice, so don’t get down on yourself if it takes a while to master it.

Got the bipod on her and found a magpul Moe A2 setup with tube and buffer included for 40$ on tgt. She's sitting pretty now, I really like the A2 on it. Now to just find some range time.

You may want to turn your bipod around...with it installed that way you risk having the legs snap back if you 'load' the gun while shooting.

Turned that way for storage, I have pistol hangers on my top shelf and it hit them when it's turned the right way

Did you get a chance to shoot it?
BTW I noticed that if you order the lower and the upper separately, it will cost you less. I also noticed that ordering the upper directly from Anderson is cheaper than Sportsman's Guide.

That's a really good price. I might get one at some point. On a rifle like this I'd probably be more interested in the Magpul PRS stock version and I'd load some Hornady 73g ELDM for long range shooting.
