I thought I had a great idea ----- the doves are on the gravel road on our property, so why not dump a load on the road/path in front of the sunflower field ------- seemed like a good idea. But it wasn't. We drive across it all the time to break up the gravel, but it just never attracted any doves,,, they are still back on the gravel road.

Works for me. The place I dove hunt has rock, gravel and sand stockpiles that are 20 feet high and they are like magnets for the dove.

Try placing a dozen or more mojo doves along the edge of the gravel. Then place 8 dove flickers on the road itself. A few dozen full bodies along bordering fence or trees. Try to make them look like they are considering landing on gravel. Mix in some white wing decoys if you can find any. Give every hunter a dove whistle. Should work better on vloudy days.
