Does anyone have a thought for a homemade mojo pole extension? I know you can buy them, but there's got to be a better/cheaper way. Thanks!

I buy the electrical metal condoit at Home Depot. Get the long peice, cut to length you want. Hammer one end to make it point to jam in mud, other end your standard mojo poll goes in. Spay paint it, black brown whatever.

Just make sure you stick it in the mud good so it doesn't blow over

1/2" PVC fits over the mojo pole. I use about a 5' PVC pole that doubles as my walking stick. Spray paint it brown. Light, cheap, and easy.

The mojo or the extension pole? I think extension vs no extension, you are simulating 2 different things. With no extension, which normally results in mojo right above the water, your mojo looks like a duck flapping on the water, like stretching.... Like below...

When you put on extension, you are simulating a duck landing. Like pic below...

Late morning mallards, when they are circling, they see that mallard mojo in the air like that, they see it as the "lead duck" and they "fall in line" like the pic above. Other ducks, they do not "fall in line" like mallards, and I think mojos are less effective with them. I think the mojo is effective on all ducks at first light, but after first light I have my doubts about other ducks, probably better off with no mojo. When I had my gaddy honey hole private duck lease, I did not think the mojo was effective at all, except for first 15 minutes of legal.

Lol, dove never even cross my mind. After open weekend I forget about dove. Only reason I would put dove on an extension is if hunting unmowed, high vegetation.
