I know this is a stupid question. But if you truly only had $100-$150 to spend, what would you get?

Used models are fine. Anything over $150 is probably a waste of your and my time.

I do not think the cheap bushnell in my closet cost that much. You will not get Jason quality but it will work at 100 as me and the minions have used it before. What are your expectations?

Low expectations. Just for me and my daughter to use at shorter ranges. I don't want to pay $5 per rental forever. I'd rather have my own. But I won't use it enough to justify spending a fortune.

Does weight matter to you? I mean is this solely for the range, or are you going to take this to the woods?

I just might have the worst spotting scope available. A few years ago I bought a Barska. The good news is that I can see 6.5 mm bullet holes in white paper targets at 300 yards. I keep saying I'll upgrade, but I still haven't.
