A drop off was inevitable. We aren't going to have record highs in numbers every year, its still going to be an above average season and considering quail hunting was almost non-existent in Texas from around 2009-2014, I'll take this and be happy. Still plenty of birds to work dogs on. If we compare numbers every season to what we had last year, we are going to be disappointed more times than not!

Down about fifty percent.

Since if have hunted the Rolling Plains every year shown on the chart and have been on my current lease since 1988 the chart is pretty darn accurate. I have seen years where leases 15 miles apart would have a big variation but they would be isolated very good or very bad pockets. As long as the liquor stays brown and I can see I will continue to chase dogs. I hope we all have good luck even cinch man.

I predict November will be slow, pick up in December and January, want be able to catch up with them in February.
We will all have a blast laugh at my dogs, Chets shooting, and wonder why we invited cinch man to join us.

Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy.

We have more birds than last year out here.
Had several 30 covey 6 hour hunts last year and have seen more birds this year

The birds on our places look pretty good. Maybe off a little but I hope it isn't 50%.
Whatever it is, we're going.
