What big dinner do you eat or serve on opening weekend of deer season? At our deer camp for the past 3 years, we have a shrimp and sausage boil (potatoes, corn etc), enough to serve 20 people. That's our BIG dinner of the weekend. What do you have?

Haven't heard who all at our lease was making it out to opening archery weekend beside my brother. Guess him and I will bring some meat to bbq and some sides to go with...then who ever else is there could just throw in what they brought and move their cooler of beer closer to our camp.

We usually do one big dinner every weekend our group goes out.

Bacon wrapped back strap usually gets the nod, but we've even deep fried a Turkey, lol.

I'm a proponent of not taking any food to deer camp. I rely solely on my ability to harvest or gather anything edible. As for liquids, a couple handfuls from the creek or pond always quench my thirst

Usually "sirloin" fajitas, deer sausage, flour tortillas, and homemade salsa that my father-in-law makes and should bottle. Oh, and a sh*tload of beer. No sides.

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.
