Anyone hunting on the Collin County dove lease advertised on craigslist? It's relatively close to me and the price is right. I hunted a few mornings and afternoons with them late in the season a couple years ago without any luck. I saw exactly one bird in the three or four trips I made...

If anyone has hunted this lease, I'd love to hear from you. If it is decent this year, I'm interested.

I'm not expecting it to be like the flyway, but a few birds to shoot at before or after work a couple days a week would be worth the $150 to me.

Have you considered the public land permit? Theres a few places east on 380, not sure how far that is for you but its only $48 and opens up all public land for hunting. PM me if you have any detailed questions.

My pack is usually heavier when I leave. I really need to stop collecting rocks.

Brushy creek?
I used to live in Nevada. It's as good as anything in the area. I'd ask to see some good fields i drove through the other day and a lot of their grain was still standing.

When I hunted it as a general rule they'd have a couple hot fields opening weekend and we'd burn it out. Then it was a few weeks and I'd find dove on a field and generally have it to myself.

Hunted there several seasons ago. Like's been said scouted for a good opening day field
and within a few days it was shot out. Just kept going back a would find birds once in a while.

Bonus was there were quite a few pigeons in some fields.

It's nights like these that make me sleep all day
