No such thing as too overbore. They make new barrels every day.

Sounds like it would be perfect when they're done testing the Berger 155gr bullets

Ultra Light? Might want to add a few pounds of cushioning to the rear of the stock. roflmao

Hey Buzz, I have on video a friend of mine shooting a mile with a 25.6 inch barreled 6.5 creed at a mile. 14th round I believe running 42.1g H4350@2810fps. Don't give up on the good ol creed.

The 6.5 300 is both a great long range gun but was designed as a hunting rifle.
The 6.5 creed is a great caliber for shooting steel but not so much on anything
bigger than a whitetail.
I have not shot mine at a mile and never will, even though it will with no problems

Man burn a barrel in 500 rounds.....wow....I have a 30-378, nowhere near 500 rounds but has maybe 300 and bore and throat of the barrel look perfect...I have a friend with one with probably 1250 or so thru it...looked down the bore with my hawkeye and the rifling while not strong still looks sharp, and the throat--far from eroded and cracked...and still holds 3/4 min...same as the day it was barreled... I don't think with proper care you will burn the barrel in 500-or even 1000 rounds...and that's a lot of shooting.
