Most of the hogs on our place are the typical black and brown - solid. I have shot a couple that are kind of spotted. I have seen this one a couple of times and chosen not to take him (maybe in the morning smile ). But I got thinking, there must be some pretty colorful ones out there. Any pics of some unusual colored ones?

Here are some of the cooler looking hogs I've killed. Some on Ft Hood, some in Erath county and some in Dickens county.

Yup they are in lots of colors and all get along as pigs. Really like the spotted ones with a spot right where you want to shoot them

Some of my favorites are the brown ones with a blond collar at the jawline

This is one of those and he had the longest hair I have ever seen on a feral hog

Once upon a time we took one of them and painted him pink....just to see if we would get any comments from a neighbor (a guy has to have some fun with all this!). Never heard a word from anyone....maybe I should have just put a large jewel in his ear or something.

Hey Lance....I got all the new stands in position, just working on building an elevated wood platform for one of them. Hope you are getting the others rehabbed okay.

I can almost hear a little "Conga" music going in the background with those three.

Yes sir,have lots of targets

Old stony, old pics, been out of the woods for awhile got a infection in my hand, while working rescue in Houston, scary stuff I would rather have a boar and sow charging me or the whole sounder ,than deal with flesh bacteria again, first time back hunting I was blessed with two pigs ten foot from me in tall grass, two head shots,,

This white with black spots pig hung around for a while as I would see him on this same camera off and on.
Finally got it one night about 3 months after this pic was taken.
Usually around here, the colorful ones die before the black ones do.

Then this herd with racing stripes.
These didn't last too long after pic was taken...

I have been watching a sounder of 19 pigs on neighbors property for 2 months. Only 4 are black, 3 are ghost white the rest have different black white colors. The boar that does not hang a the group is huge and looks like an Oreo.

Finally got the pig in the OP (or at least one very similar). I had no idea it was her when I shot. 220 under moonlight only with NO thermal or NV. Gotta love the full moon. Dropped her immediately in her tracks.

I have a BUNCH of these. They are interbreeding with the wild ones too.
