>>> 60 days early

On a strange website, but I think this bodes well for a few of us that are headed up there in a little while.

This is a welcome sight!

Our cabin is 3 miles from the Little Hogback fire which has burned 38,000+ acres. Firefighters had set up portable water tanks, giant sprinklers, and run multiple hoses up the mountain behind it when I left on Monday the 10th.

My daughter that lives there said the snow was helping quell some of the fires. Some days in Missoula she has had to have her headlights on so other drivers could see her through the smoke. This last week has been quite cool sure sure.

I was in Wyoming last week. You couldn't see the mountains or anything else for that matter about 2-3 miles out while traveling through Yellowstone. Dense smoke daily and of course the day we flew out it was the greatest day for visibility. Any sort of precipitation will help tremendously. Not to mention better odds of success with cooler weather. Just praying Colorado isn't like it was last year. If so I am buying some camo swimming trunks.

Good luck CR!

Thanks doc. I hope the Rocky Mountain High yields up trophies for you. I haven't had the heart to check if the area we're hunting in has been burned up. 'Been there before. I'm takin' a mid-life road trip if there's antlers at the end of it or not. 'Might be looking for some property in the "Cowboy state" soon. I love that state. I assume you were there on business/training?

Hopefully the fires stop soon. I can't begin to describe how much I'm looking forward to my trip next year.
