Ok, What are your Wholly Grail guns within your possible means. Like we all Know Mr. Oxner can walk into Whillouby and McCabe and buy a 20ga Purdy SXS with pocket change.

But what about the rest of us, If you had some decent money to blow on guns what would you buy. 3 kinds.

Me:

handgun: Colt Python
Rifle: IDK???
Shotgun: Blaser F-3 Sporting

handgun: probably something from Freedom Arms, or possibly something from Ruger waaaaay back in the old days. Love those 3-screw flattops! Maybe a S&W M-17 w/4-inch barrel.

rifle: Winchester 52B Sporter, or a pre-64 70 chambered for something a bit off the beaten path...like .300 H&H.

shotgun: pretty wide open here...kinda wanting a 16-ga, but love 101s, love the Super-X semi-autos, like 1100s too. Not very discriminating when it comes to scatterguns, but like solid performance.

Truth is, there's nothing I want that I don't have already with the possible exception of a Delta Elite---which just occurred to me.

Seems like when I finally pull the trigger and get something new that I've wanted for years........ I go back to shooting the guns that I've been using for two or three decades - because I like them, they fit me and I shoot them well.

OK, jeepercreeper mentioned Barrett, so a 29" 82A1 would be on my list.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

There's a Turnbull .45 at the local Cabela's that's not cheap, but not crazy money either. I'd start my list with that one.

Most people could buy their holy grail gun. They just need to save some cash. You can buy a junk gun every month or save for a couple of years and buy your holy grail gun. I bought mine a couple of years ago. An AIAT with a Kahles Gen3 6-24 scope. The whole setup cost me more than $7K ($8k with the new 260 barrel). But I won’t have to buy any other gun/scope for long range shooting in the foreseeable future.

Ooohhhh, yeah. Turnbull's work is awesome. I've always admired Les Baer's 1911s also.

Handguns, already have. S&W 629 performance center hunter package and Kimber KPE low 2 digit serial number.

Rifle, Happy with what I have as well but a Dakota 10 full length stock with the receiver and rings casehardened buy Turnbull. They offered that at one time and have shot one, that is one sweet little rifle. For quite some time the Little Sharps was very high on the list and no longer is since there is one in the safe.

Shotguns, A Beretta A400 would be nice, loved the weight and balance of a 28ga I shot

It's what you chose to spend your money on. I'd love to have a nice thermal set up but realistically I'd only use it a couple of times a month. A couple of suppressors, yup but same usage. Now , back to the OP. Being a lefty I'd love a nice lefty bolt gun with great glass, and a lever gun in 30-30 or 45-70, and a 357 wheel gun, and a Glock 10mm, and, and, and......

Handgun: Won't know till I shoot it.
Rifle: Not picky as long as it will shoot 1/4 MOA, drop anything in North America and has no recoil at all.
Shotgun: 2. K-80 with Briley tubes, Beretta A400 Xplor in 28 ga. and Briley chokes.
