Purchased a Remington 7400 thru Gun Broker, and I have used them several times with no issues. This time the gun was damaged, operating handle broken off in shipping. Contacted the shipper/seller he advised he had the part and would send it if I got estimates from gunsmiths to do the repair. When Im home I just don't have the time to run around getting estimates. So....should I return the rifle to him and let him repair it or return and ask for refund or another option
Thanx

Did you pay for insurance with the shipping fee from the seller? If so then file a claim with the shipper since it's the fault of the shipping company.

You can get estimates over the phone. Seems like it would be just as big of a hassle to get it fixed as it would to ship it back.

Did it get damaged in shipping or did the FFL damage it cause you didn't buy it from them...

Sorry I'm still bitter from a prior bad experience....

If it were me I'd return it for a refund less your shipping cost(s)

^This. Should have never accepted it.

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

I've had this happen before twice and dealing with the insurance is a major pain!..... On the other hand the operating handle doesn't seem that hard to swap out.

If you have time to use the gun, you have time to go to a gunsmith.
