Had several groups scouted out north of DFW, that is until this small cold front came through Tuesday night / Wednesday morning.

They gone.....

Full moon probably hurt more then the front but the result is the same.

I pumped two wetlands full on Monday and Tuesday had 300 birds. Wednesday after the front-30. Nothing new since then.

After what I saw today scouting, I might just get ahead of the game... kill a limit of Shiner tonight and sleep in tomorrow.

Yalls birds must have moved down here last night. We went out with a guide because our farm ponds never produce during early teal. Guide said his birds had moved out a couple nights agoand was a little worried about what we might see this morning. We ended up shooting a 7 man limit in Eagle Lake in about an hour. Had probably 1000 of them in the air in and around us right at shooting time.

Went out this am. Had 2 burn behind me at 10 ft from me. Couldn't turn around quick enough when I saw em. Saw 3 or 4 high flyers. That was it for teal. Shot 2 doves. Saw prob 6k cow birds. And had bat land 3ft from me. That was pretty cool. Back home and in bed by 830am. Plan on going to try another spot tmrw am.

I thought about going down that way, but it's just far for a day to hunt. Parents live down in Houston Galveston would be the closest. Trinity river up by Huntsville would be an easier option. I've got a mud rig. Just never hunted the coast. Own land out west so may try to get a few teal and some doves. Options, options.

If you said this about Lake X or Lake Suck I would be skeptical, but I see no reason why anyone would bs about their private hunting spots.

Might sleep in again tomorrow and hope next week turns around.

Attention rickym, this is not a troll post, just a good hearted fun type of post

Water management? I think south east Texas needs some of that.
