I used to use my ipad with the lightning adapter and it worked great, but last year i updated the software and it has not worked since. I even tried a new adapter, but still says its not a recognized device or some bs like that. Then i used my desktop computer, but it bit the dust so im looking for something like a tablet or laptop to look at the pics on my sd cards. I would like a larger screen then the little viewers. Whtdoes everybody use? Any info will be much appreciated.

I use an OLD mini laptop, carry it in my hunting backpack. Unfortunantly it's time for an upgrade it will not get bright enough to see the pics in direct sunlight any more.

Small laptop. I also save the pics there for later viewing.

I'm using my ipad and the software is up to date. My cameras are the old Moultries and Browning Strike force. The new moultries do not work with the ipad---it's something Moultrie did to the new camera's---Not the ipad software.

I use my I-phone 6S with a Stealth SD card reader I purchased from Walmart for $5 on clearance. Works great for pictures and videos.

My camera. Most cameras that use a standard SD card will read pictures from your game cam.

Almost the same.
I have a waterproof hard case that holds 8 SD cards and services 5 game cameras.
Since the contacts wear after a while and I usually check them daily, I use the microSD to standard SD card converters and use 4GB microSD cards in all of them.
When the contacts on adapter wear, I toss the adapter and move the microSD card over to a new one.
Adapters are under a buck each and cheaper than SD cards!
I also set the lock to write and put a drop of superglue on it so it stays in write position.
Haven't had to replace an actual SD card since I started doing this.

I simply change them out and view them on my home PC.
The 40" monitor sitting on my desk shows details that are lost on phones, laptops, etc.

Why would you be checking cards daily? Or are you an outfitter

BONEVIEW

Adapter that plugs your SD card into your iPhone or iPad. Best invention ever. I check my cards on the way to the stand and look at my pics on my phone.

They make some cool products:
