My brother and I have been applying for the JD Murphee Alligator Hunt for five years we finally drew but as I live in Corpus now and do not need a jon boat because of my preference for kayaks I am in transportation pickle. I looked online for a place to rent boats in Port Arthur and Beaumont and have not found one yet. Any information on somewhere to look would be appreciated.

You look around corpus, Houston, our Galveston? Could always rent one and haul it there. What days did you get? We got selected for 9/13-9/14.

If I were in your situation I would ask my brother to pitch in and buy a small used boat,motor/trailer preferably with up to date registration. Use it for the hunt, then sell it and split any loss with your brother. Between timing and shopping wisely, y'all could end up flipping it for a profit too. When I did the Texas Water Safari Canoe Race I noticed it was real common for teams to do this with canoes to be used only for the race.
