Might have to reinforce the lid with a little flat tin screwed in place. I had that problem years ago with a plastic hanging deer feeder.

And the cows don't mess with it? Good idea on a flat tin on the lid, damn squirrels love plastic. Looks like a bouy or boat bumper. Interesting.

One shot is all it should take.

Ok Night #1 Really got what i expected as the deer came in but were very skittish because something new was where they always find corn and had no hogs on camera. Did change one camera to video to see what happen when the hogs decide to come in. I will be gone at least part of this week so will report back when i get home and get a chance to look at the chips.

Did you spread a little corn on the outside of the ball so they can put two and two together? Also I wouldn't fill it completely bc along with the counter weight it can be too heavy for smaller hogs to rock back and fourth

used 100 pounds of corn. put about 70 in the ball and the rest on the ground around and under the ball.

Here's the results of 4 months use. 3 1/2 months and hogs would bump it now and then but it just wouldn't put any corn out. Couple of weeks ago I drilled the holes out 1/16 larger. Corn now comes out when you shake it or roll it around. Put out corn this afternoon and they had rolled in around the last 2 nights. Moved it 20-25 yards. They like it now. Seems our corn is just a little bigger than the corn the holes are made for. Now I can buy another and know how to get it to work.
