So awhile ago I was in the break room getting a snack and one of the younger workers came in to put his lunch up, and was like have you ever seen or tried anything like this? It was pico de gallo, and I said," Pico de gallo?" He said " no, its something my girlfriend made last night and its badass on tacos." I shrugged it off and continued on to not try and correct him cause it was obviously pico de gallo. He then pulls out some guacamole and calls it avocado sauce. I just looked at him confused out of my mind. I then turned around and walked out of the break room shocked thinking if this kid has ever been to a Mexican restaurant or not. Yall think he was messing with me? He is from down here or so I believe lol. I couldn't get over that convo. lol

Its practically impossible to live here and not find yourself in a mexican restaurant from time to time.
Ask him what pico, guac, and mole are, his response should tell you everything.

Several people on this forum confuse canned salsa with pico.

Several people on this forum confuse canned salsa with pico. Well I wasn't fooled....this was fresh pico de gallo.

I have heard of avocado sauce before, so naturally I googled it, I guess you could consider it guacamole. I am sure it moves into the sauce category because you put it through the blender.
Put the avocado, lime juice, salt, jalapeno, cilantro, water and olive oil in a food processor. Puree until smooth.
Add the onion and pulse to roughly blend inches.
Serve immediately.
