As many of you know from my post in the rifle & scope forum I bought my 9 yo son a 6.5 Creedmoor for Christmas. This is his first ever rifle and I wanted to get something different than the 3 .243s we already own. Well, he has been asking since Christmas to go shoot it. I have been extremely busy at work and with other kids activities that we just have never gotten around to doing it. I took it out about a month ago to get the scope dialed in. It's a shooter no doubt. Loves the Hornady Match 120 & 140gr ELDs. I decided to let him shoot the 140 gr ELDs and I would try to get the ELD-Xs to group a little better. Here is the result: My 9 yo sons first 4 shots at 100 yds. My first 4 shots at 100yds My sons second group of 3 shots this time. My second group of 3 shots. I was amazed. Granted he was shooting the better grouping round but I wasn't going to destroy his moment. He was on cloud 9 and letting dad know he had been out shot. (Sorry the photos are all auto rotated 90 degrees)

Looks like Dad going to have some competition.
