In the process of rehabbing the pastures on my place, before I got this property the pastures had not been mowed in 5+ years. I burned the place in late December, then had it mowed in March, then last Wednesday I had it sprayed with maximum strength mix of 2-4d with surfactant.

They sprayed Wednesday and then it rained on Thursday afternoon, I have read that 2-4d is rain safe at 6-8hrs after spraying but my question is.....

Have you guys that spray with 2-4d had rain come in the day after?.... if so did it affect the kill rate of the spray?

This place is southern Oklahoma outside Durant and if it makes a difference what I'm trying to kill out is broom weed, sneeze weed, sage, ect.....

Rain the next day wont affect the spray and you should have a good kill rate as you stated it is rain safe in 6-8 hours.

If the rain didnt start until 12 hours after the spray I wouldn't worry one bit. It had all soaked in at that point.

Yes if it rains a few hours after its not as effective also temp plays a big part and sunlight, 85°+ with alot.of.sunshine you will see better results
