Glass is not on our with the SS 5-20 HD.
SFP, and MOA are two things I want no part of either.
Burris XTR II is a better buy in that magnification range. Significantly clearer glass. More tactile turrets that are less likely to get moved, when bumped, as well.

What are you? About 6'3" 230? Just sayin. Many times I've seen an Asian American, that weighs 140 and is 5'4 show up and beat the tar out of all of us. Technique and talent. You have the talent.

I had one I bought off their sample list (used). I used it in the long range match and was shooting all over the place and couldn't figure out why, sent it back to Skylar and they said something broke inside and wouldn't track so they sent me a brand new one, but I never used it I ended up selling it and buying all vortex. For around $25 more you could get a 4-16 Viper HST from optics planet.

How do your short comings come into play when I'm asking about a scope for a .22?

Your putting a scope on a .22 that does not belong on a .22. It is your money so IDGAF what you do with it. This Sheep thing and sniffin squirrel cages was slightly offensive.

Your putting a scope on a .22 that does not belong on a .22. That's one opinion....worth about what we paid for it. That SS would work fine on a .22. I've seen Scmidt and Benders on .22s. Depends on the application. BIL, have you considered a March scope? 10yd parallax, smallish package, and decent reticles, $$$. I had the 3-24x42FFP version but sold it and regret it a little. Looking for another for one of my .22s if I can convince myself to spend the money.

Lots of opinions I see...
The scope in question is a good one. Not bad for a combo hunting/range scope. I prefer mils to MOA, but that's been discussed a hundred times before. Other than that, I prefer SFP with something that maxes out at 15, and the SWFA quality if obviously good, although the glass quality on the 3-15x42 that I had did leave something to be desired. I feel like the glass quality on my fixed-power SWFA scopes is slightly better.

I don't care about mils or moa I can choose that anytime. Looking for function and glass If glass sucks I'll look elsewhere. I don't want ffp I don't care for it that much

They are good scopes BIL. I've got 3 of them. Glass is good, not great and tracking seems to be very good.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

I have a FFP mil/mil version of the scope and I love it. It's on a hunting rig, max range is 400 yards.
