Caught this guy on the road by camp coming it to lease. Had one last weekend about the same size. Threw him up on back of pickup tonneau cover with no head attached looked in rearview mirror, he had his tail up just buzzing away and slithering around the bed cover. that was a weird site to see




we found this guy crawling down the road headed for a pond or creek . one of the bigger ones I have seen there. Wife picked him up and threw him in back of Can-AM and gave him a ride to the river.






This weekend was camp cleanup: we cut approx. 10 trailer loads of brush and stacked over by our fire pit which is about 12 foot diameter circle with rock walls. they started burning during the day feeding a little bit at a time so sparks were not blowing everywhere. Finally finished burning around midnight & we had a Fire pit full of coals about 3&1/2 feet tall and glowing like a active volcano. It was putting off a fair amount of heat

Good times. I love working like that. Cutting brush enhancing the land and then sitting back and seeing all your hard work payoff

Warm weather has all kinds of things running around. Nothing like a camp/bonfire with a cold one afterwards

You did all the hard work Steve - I just sat around and ate your fritos and onion dip! Heard you had to throw about 40 gallons of water on it before you left Sunday!

Never said I did all the hard work , it was a group effort by everyone that was there , with some of the work being spread out over past weekends & work being done by people that weren't there for the scheduled work party, IE: Mark /Jermany/Opie/ Me pulling wire and working on the electrical system/ Tracie & Phyllis running the brush hog/ You were in there past weekend's trimming brush, along with the regular cleanup this weekend.

Also thanks to: Adrian, Cavin & wife , Wayne & Brandon(not even a member and worked his butt off) and anyone I missed.

The next morning the stack of coals were still smoking hot if Wayne did not dump water on them would have been hot for 2-3 days . You could actually hear the water boiling off them
