Not having the large open fields i hunt from a stand. This particular stand has pigs almost every night but the time is not consistent so i have a number of nights that i just go home about midnight. Last night i was starting to think was going to be a bust but just before 23:30 the pigs came in. The stand is only about 50 yards from the tree and stump. Sitting with the scope turned off i heard the pigs coming so i turned the scope on. I have a real hippo sized hog showing up on game camera but did not show up last night. Short video just like the hunt if you don't count the all the waiting time.

A lot of my places are woods and river bottoms. I have cell cameras doing the work. I get a txt and walk in. Way better not having to sit still and be quiet in the dark(which leads to napping). I know cells don't reach everywhere but, I have been surprised how well mine work with one bar 3g.

yea the average in the pic is about 130 pounds. We estimate the hippo at 250 plus. She is longer taller and thicker than any of the others on the place that we have seen lately. Also she appears to have never bred. Maybe this is a better picture.
That's her in the center and the one right behind her is about 125 pounds. The spotted one behind her is about 130 or so and the piglet is about 20-25 pounds.

Lay her down, put the tape measure on, and take pictures! We like pictures!
