I've had it a few times in Livingston, Id keep on driving if I were you. But the quality could change from location to location.

Agreed, its all about the location. I think Longview is some of the best in the state, Arlington, not so much.

Try the one in Longview on Mobberly, it's likely to be in the next Texas Monthly top 50. Very good brisket and specialty sausage. They just started making their own burnt end brisket boudain but it's only served on Wednesdays for now. The one in Marshall has very good pork ribs. Haven't had much luck at any of the others but I love their sauce

The one in Arlington used to be good....not great, but good many years ago. Haven't been there in at least a decade. I've been to the one on the north end of Paris a couple of times and liked it.

I'm not a fan. This is Texas there is BBQ every where, there's better down the road.

The one in Paris is decent, my old lease was just a few miles up the road and we would stop there on the way to Toco to buy booze.

Bodacious in Longview on Mobberly, in my opinion is right up there with some of the best places in Texas. I've tried Franklins, Louie Mueller's, Pecan Lodge and many more. The best ribs I've had were at Stanley's in Tyler, the best brisket at Louie Mueller's and best sausage was at Pecan Lodge. Best overall was Franklin's but Bodacious on Mobberly in Longview is right up there with the front runners.

I live smack dab in the middle of bodacious BBQ country. I think it's pretty good myself.

It's apparent that after reading reviews of what people think is good BBQ, that most in here don't know good BBQ.

If you put sauce on your BBQ, then you aren't giving the meat a fair chance, or you already know it sucks and this is the last life line for it to be edible.

Agreed. Exactly why I look for good meat with no sauce necessary.

last brisket I did - the sauce almost went untouched. It felt really good to see folks eating the meat without sauce, I knew it was done right then!
