I've always paid for private land hunts and the last few times have paid to catch a cold. Not having much luck this year with private land hunts, seems like I'm wasting money. Any tips on public land hunting spots? We are over run with hogs but they seem to all be hiding when I'm out and about!!!!

from my experience it's like any other type of hunting. you just have to spend your time out in the bush. they're out there 24/7 in all kinds of weather and don't wear a watch. they move/eat/poop/lay down/fight/etc. whenever they take a notion to, maybe 3 pm or 3 am . . .whenever. you just have to be where and when they'll cross your path.
better luck to you

ta HF... Theirs info bout public land lower in the forum.... $48.00 permit ta hunt... From what i gather theirs more areas, not sure of details... Each area has own rules... OSBWMA was my stomping grounds, i got alien body parts, yet finding hogs was the easy part... Lots of walking, tip its good exercise & ya find more sign... unlike privet land, lots of restrictions... Moderarter might move this to the Public Hunting section & they can give better updated info... Best Wishes...
