Found her. Used the cheap Remington OTFB 120gr. 300 BLK. As she ran right to left I shot at her noggin and missed. Second shot at 6" in front of her nose and hit her belly but didn't slow her. Third shot about 2' in front, maybe more and hit her in the shoulder. 300 blk is a slow round.

Good job! If she was running, that's about the correct lead. I've shot plenty of moving animals, and depending on how fast they are moving, more lead is needed. I shot a running boar at 180-200 yards with a 223, and put about a 2 body lead on him for a mid section shot. It stopped him, but follow up shots were needed.

Yup. I too have shot many running and with a handful of different calibers. But this crossing shot with the relatively pedestrian velocity 300 BLK nearly had me beat. The lead which finally worked didn't really have my confidence until she tumbled. I learned something.
