It really just needs to hit you in the right place... say the loose piece of skin between the thumb and pointer would be a very bad place

if your confidant id say so... From the folks iv herd that handle them they say you almost have to injure one to get it to bite

Ive handled enough snakes that im comfortable with most. And like nav said, coral snakes arent aggressive. It tried to strike when I released it, but that was it.
