I found out this afternoon that I will have one spot and possibly two on one of my leases. It is a small property with a cabin available that has been lightly hunted especially the last two years. I have had this lease for eight years but have not hunted it in the last two. You can send me a PM or shoot me an email at russleggett@att.net for details.

Well, just got a call and now have two spots open on my other lease. Both leases are in south Nacogdoches county. One lease is $500/spot and the other is $718/spot.

Both leases are year round and allow family and guests- their harvest goes against the member's state allotment. We do have a two week muzzle loader season after the general season closes.

Update... I have filled one spot one each lease so I currently have one spot left on the smaller lease and two spots open on the bigger lease. I prefer to answer questions thru PM's or email. Thanks.

Thought I had three different individuals coming today to check out the lease- one had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances and never saw or heard from the other two. I told a couple others to call me tonight to see if I still had any openings and have heard nothing so far. Just putting it out that I still have two spots still open on my bigger leases.

Hi Russ!
Myself and a friend are looking for a lease. I have a few questions please.
1. How many hunters on the lease? 2. How many acres in the lease? 3. Is there a campsite? 4. Is there water and electricity? 5. Can we hunt hogs and varmints in the off season? 6. Can we hunt at night using our thermal and nigh vision? 7. Any ponds or food plots? 8. Any birds (dove, duck, turkey)? 9. Is the price $715 per stop (I'd want two) 10. Can you send me location information to Google earth the area? 11. Can we use ATV's and UTV's?
Based on your responses, we have no issue taking it sight unseen and can either paypal or send you a check via mail.

Let me elaborate why I don't do sight unseen. Years ago I did this, when I was first setting up one of my leases. I put up several feeders and stands. One guy contacted me and said he wanted to send a check that he knew about hunting east Texas. So I took a check sometime in the spring of that year. Never saw him until November of that gun season on a Thursday evening. He showed up with his grown son having never been to the lease or set up anything. I took them down that evening and showed him and his son two different stands they could hunt that morning then look around to see where they wanted to set up "their" spot. I come home from work Friday and see that the dad has killed an eight point. The next morning his son killed another eight point. About lunch the dad shows up at my door with the lease keys, says they have killed all the deer they can handle and won't be back. Haven't seen or heard from them since. So now I expect to see a prospective member, show them the lease so they know what to expect, and have a conversation about commitment, expectations, and see if there is going to be a fit. So, nothing personal.

OK, let me tackle your questions now:
1. Eight and never a problem in the five years I have had it. 2. 640 3. Yes 4. No 5. Yes 6. Yes 7. Ponds-no. Food plots- some, and you can put in your own. 8. Doves- some Ducks- no, but not very far from Lake Sam Rayburn Turkeys- some 9. $718/ membership 10. I'll get back on that 11. If you don't you will be hard pressed to get around, especially after a hard rain.
