Hunted Friday night. Hogs had been attacking my landowner's property. I figured if I stayed long enough, some would show up and more showed up than expected. The problem was that there wasn't any good way to approach them, the moon being very bright when the hogs showed up. Based on my interactions with the cattle, they were spotting me from over 100 yards out, so I figured the hogs could see me just as well. So I fired from a concealed position at the hogs that were 180-200 yards distant at a pond I had ranged previously. No problem. The problem came when they started running across the rolling landscape. I missed all the intermediate distance hogs and nailed the last hog at 362 yards (GPS ranged). I finished the night with two, not a great night given the size of the sounder, but one of the sows had 5 more onboard, so that helped.

Nice shot!! Those were some pretty long leads. For that last hog, I actually measured the hog and later compared its size to the video. I led right at 2 hog lengths (~6 feet) for the shot to impact there behind the shoulder. Checking the ballistic calculator, bullet flight time was 0.49 seconds for that distance. Animals can move quite a distance in that amount of time.

Good video and good shooting again. Ur making me jealous Brian, told my wife I felt the strong desire to kill something but dang if time isn't on my side these days. Been crazy busy.
Btw, a human at full stride run will cover close to 12-15 feet in half a second, of course unencumbered and on good ground. On a rugged chopped field with decent grass, I would expect that would drop significantly. 4 feet are superior to 2 in that kind of terrain.

If I keep watching these videos I am going to have to spend entirely to much money on one of these thermals.
