Found a nice little mount from Vortex that attaches to a rail and then attaches to the tripod screw. Thinking about getting it, I already have an adjustable 60" tripod with QD adapter for my camera and think it would be very stable shooting platform for sitting and even short stalks because it weighs next to nothing.

Have a link to it? I'm getting a reaper grip, actually going to be a stocking dealer before long, but for now would love to upgrade my trigger stick with sometime more stable.

I own multiple monopods, bipods and tripods. If nothing else, they keep you above the chiggers.

Seriously though, they'll make your follow up shots at running hogs much easier.

Well maybe I spoke too soon, but they're out of stock everywhere. B&H Photo Video says they'll be available in 7-10 business days. Have a stock notification in.

I have both a Primo TriggerStick bipod and tripod. The tripod is def more stable, but the bipod deploys and stabilizes quicker.... I wave them in front of me like a blind man's cane when stalking at night so I dont run into a cactus lol

Primos trigger sticks "Jim shocked edition". Tall tripod and Bipod. I think they just came out with a genIII version. "

Fast paced gregarious society forgets the healing power of solitude. It's worked thousands of years. Casting a line/gazing into a campfire/sitting in a blind after a long week is medicine for the soul. The serenity and peacefulness of it all is majestic.

Highly recommend the bog pod. Latest version is very light weight and easy to carry. Very stable and can be quickly deployed.

Thanks guys, I already have the tripod I'd be using. It is super light and easy to deploy. I was just wondering how many actually use tripods in the field before I bought the adapter for my gun. I didn't know a lot of people used them LOL. Learn something new every day.

Bogen Manfrotto 3011/144 Professional Tripod (They no longer make this. Just make sure you DO NOT get a plastic tripod. Look for Aluminum or Titanium. Plastic Tripods will flex when you shoot. I found mine on Craigslist for $20.00.

Head Unit is a Manfrotto XPRO Geared 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head MAMHXPRO3WG (Again mine came with my $20.00 Craigslist purchase)
