My wife and I are headed to Canyon Lake area this weekend....KID FREE.
Our Saturday evening plans got cancelled, so we are looking for things to do/see. We will be staying a few miles outside of Canyon Lake, friday-Sunday.
We (my wife) wants to do some flea market, estate sales, junk shopping, so I imagine we will happily be doing that in the daytime...
Any ideas/ recommendations?

Hour"ish" drive through Sisterdale to Alamo Springs Cafe for a burger. Pretty drive, and a great burger. Get there before dark and watch a few bats come out of the tunnel next door. If you are wanting to stay closer, Freiheit Country Store in New Braunfels located at FM306 & FM1101.

Tin Hall in Gruene
Lots of shopping there also

Gruene has a wide variety of arts, crafts and window shopping places, the Gristmill River Restaurant and Bar is our go to place for food, be sure to try the onion rings OMGoodness they are good. A side trip to Natural Bridge Cavern and the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch (drive thru) are both good, the wildlife park is one of the better ones I have been thru in recent years.

PMK, if you haven't tried it yet, resist the urge for Gristmill and go East about 100 yards to River City Grill.

hopefully the weather holds out for ya'll.

go to gruene, the shops in san marcos, River Road ice house, its a little cold yet to float the river.

if the weather was nicer I would suggest renting a pontoon boat
