Hey Guys, My son and I will be building out our duck boat this summer, adding a blind, floor etc. here is my question, we plan to use plywood as the floor. Any suggestions on the thickness to use? I'm thinking 1/2 inch to keep the weight down but want to make sure it's thick enough so I doesn't have a lot of bow in it.

Thanks,
Evan

You talking about the floor of the boat as plywood or laying plywood over the aluminum hull?

If you are building a boat 1/2" marine grade is pretty thick but some what still pliable per say. I used 1/4.

once you glass it in it will be a lot stronger then you think.

Pictures will be coming soon. We are putting the floor in this weekend and the blind kit is on its way. Recommendations on thickness given that this will be added over the hull. up

What kind of boat are you building this on? If it is a small boat you want to be sure that your floor isn't too high or you could have a very unstable platform.
