How is the wildlife? Over-hunted?

I have hunted dove in the area and last season was insane. My wife is from there and I know at least two very well managed ranches in the area. Both are very good size ranches as well. They have killed some very nice deer. I don't think it's over hunted but I am only aware of these two larger well managed ranches so I can't speak about the entire 'area.'

We have two leases there by the lake. The hog population is out of control, we kill tons of them. Lots of rabbits, coyotes, ducks, geese, tons of dove, bobwhites, etc. There are deer, but not a ton of deer. I would say you will be happy for getting a deer each year on our place (1,300 acres 10 hunters), I'd say with 10 hunters we get 6-8 deer total each year. I shot my biggest deer ever there (12 point) and another guy shot his biggest deer there a couple years ago (also a 12) so there are big ones out there.

It can be very good or way over hunted depending on where it is. Who neighbors are etc...
Message me if you want to know more. I'm from that area.
