Most think that Hawke or Leapers fills that market niche. I've had 3 BSA pellet scopes scopes myself, two 4x and one 3-9x and two of the three are still working. Strangely enough, the Beeman 4x scope has a reputation for nearly being bullet-proof. I've owned two; the glass is certainly nothing special but neither ever broke. Good glass is probably the best reason to move up to PCP guns. That's an expensive step, as I'm sure you know.

I have the Hawke also, got my rifle and scope from Pyramid Air. They have a deal where they mount the scope and sight it in. You might give their Techs a call . They are VERTY Helpful.
