Was just wondering how many of you guys have a special attractant or hunting tactic that you have never shared online and is a secret you hold very close to the vest....And also something you have never heard or read about someone else doing. Not asking for you to spill the beans but just curious how many of you got a secret. For me its a hog trap bait that I stumbled across on accident. I'm all for helping others learn but some things are just too good to let slip out for free especially in an age when information spreads like wildfire across the internet and you can easily find yourself in a situation where your competitive hunting advantage is gone

I have a secret and the secret is that attractants are designed to attract hunters not the animal the hunters are hunting.

It's killing you, isn't it? That's why you came on here to tell us you had a secret. I figure there's no other reason to mention having a secret unless you, deep down, really want to let it out. Go ahead. Tell us your secret. It'll be alright.

So well it put three deer into the trap and no hogs.

Looks like that buck even practiced good crossbow handling by laying against that tree "muzzle" down before diving into that trick or treat bucket

Ok, you've got it out of me. The secret is the HAT. This hat works especially well on in the National Forest! My wife bought me one. I'm sure that my big life insurance policy and her new male personal fitness trainer has nothing to do with it.

Last time l try to think outside the box to keep things interesting in the offseason Man I'm sorry but you are asking for something that really doesn't exist, to my knowledge anyway! Keep you a salt block out at every feed station(all animals need salt) and other than that hand feed corn during deer season. Feeders keep deer around but feed away from the feeder by hand and you will have better luck! And always play the wind, no matter what!!!

Feeding corn away from the feeder is real productive for older wiser bucks..
