Very sad story, a beautiful family left without a father/husband. Thank God everyday for your existence.

Any bottled fed male animal is dangerous. Especially ones with horns or antlers. If I have to raise any I tell who ever I sell them to to be careful with them. Do not turn your back on them. Do not try to make pets out of them. Get them harvested as soon as possible. They will hurt you.

Sad deal. Prayers for the family. Sounds like he was a very good man.
My grandparents had an orphaned WT buck they bottle fed up and had for a few years. He hung on the wall of their cabin, turned on my Gpa once when he got to be a few years old. Once was enough.

How many stories are there every year about people being severely injured and/or killed by 'tame or pet' wildlife?

We've had several Rambouillet rams that if you were holding a feed bucket you didn't dare turn your back on. I've been hit once, and my dad really badly one time. Can only imagine if they had antlers.
Prayers for the family, what a sad deal.

Sad story. We get people who like to feed Black Bears and get attached to them like they were their pets. One lady near our home was well known for hand feeding bears. She had sows with cubs as well as some good sized boars visiting her place like clock work to get free handouts. Over the years she even had a few den under her cabin during their winter hibernation.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. Edmund Burke

I'm fairly certain he was a member on THF, I can't remember his handle but I think I sold him a Zeiss scope several years ago.
