Great job! From started to seasoned is a huge step in my opinion (don't ask me how I know). Cowtown is my home club and I agree there are some fantastic members. Personal reasons, but my training got put on hold for the last 1.5yrs., hopefully I can get back at it and get that elusive (to me) seasoned title. Once again, great job and you can be dang proud!

Alamo Retrievers is having a hunt test the weekend of the 24th. I'm going to try and be there to help with what ever

Thanks guys! I got a few compliments from other handlers and the judges so it made me feel pretty good after putting in so much hard work.

yes is a big jump from started to seasoned because the started test is do watered down. 10 yard marks in water where you get wet standing on the line from the splash and 20 yard marks on land. 12 week old pups can run the started marks if they can carry a full size duck. i like running seasoned and finished.

I think most would agree but that wasn't the case at Cowtown. I heard the started test was not easy and judging by the number of ribbons they handed out it was true. I didn't see the test so I can't say if it was good or bad but I think it caught some handlers of gaurd. I most likely will only run seasoned and finished in the future.

Ducks landed in heavy moss with an island near that pulled a lot of dogs on the way and got some lost. I'm not saying it was a good or bad thing but just that it was more difficult than usual. I've run two started tests and every land mark was over 40 yards....

Went 2 for 2 in seasoned! Need one more for the title! Cool. I thought it took 4 passes for a sr title, 5 if you don't have a jr title.

I carried 10 points over from started so I need 3 passes for 40 points for a seasoned title.

Unfortunately , my dog was one of them that lost the duck in the moss on Saturday. She did get her first pass on Sunday. We will try again at Lonestar this weekend. Congrats on the test. i saw sone videos of the land marks and they were about 40 yards so that is better Apparently the water test Saturday was the one that was a little tough.
