Anyone have any thoughts on the County Line brand tillers that Tractor Supply sells? Looking at purchasing a tiller for my garden. Any reviews, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Looking at both the rear tine and front tine.

Rear tine is the only way to go. Only had two in my life. Don't know much about the makes.

I have used both front and rear tine tillers. Rear Tine is the only way to go unless you are built like a 500 pound gorilla. The rear tine is controllable while a front tine will run away from you or drag you behind it. I am running a 40+ year old Troy Built.

No experience but it has poor reviews. It has a Kohler 2000 Series, 6.5hp, 1966cc engine which is sold at NorthernTool.
I would go with a Briggs.

I got a smaller, easier to handle one. I've downsized my garden a lot.

I plow and disc my garden, then use a front tine to do the final dressing and weed control between rows. It's a troy built, very easy to control.

I used to work at TSC, and the County Line tillers got returned all the time. They were pieces of junk. Many times, wouldn't start up after the first use.

Had one, took it back, could hardly break the surface of the garden.

Check around for someone with small tractor and tiller, usually get it tilled for a few bucks or case of beer, in ten minutes it will be tilled deeper and more thorough than you can do in an hour.

I haven't used the tiller but most equipment that I've been around that was County line brand was junk.
I tried to work cattle through a chute from TSC once, pretty sure it was county line brand. Absolutely the worst chute I've ever tried to use. Felt bad telling the guy he should have saved a little longer and gotten a different brand.
