To get stuck in the varmint cage......more than once. Apparently they figured out how to get in and eventually get out over and over again. How insulting just laying on his back spinning that feeder plate.

Well, I ended the party for at least one of them this past weekend with the dukes traps.

I've found that the Duke's traps tend to make them a bit cranky.

That coon was trying to get his face into another trap and grab the marshmallow when I showed up. Greedy little bandits......

I ended up getting the "eliminator" https://www.amazon.com/Eliminator-Varmint-Proof-Scatter-Feeders/dp/B01NBNRIJP

No more issues with coons or, "tree rats", squirrels. Best product for feeders I've ever used.

Now I have several traps around my protein feeders as I can't keep the coons out of them. It never ends with those!

I just ordered 10 of the Duke DP coon traps. I got tired of seeing them free load on all our cameras. Should be an interesting year.

Have you tried putting a slinky on each of those feeder legs?

coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

They're not too fond of a 22LR to the brain pan either!

That one got to experience13 gauge #4 steel to the face since I was checking traps while duck hunting that morning.

Only thing missing is some sweet potatoes, and a slow cooker. grill
