Anybody have any experience with these? Is 1:9.5 twist good for a 7mm 08?

I have a compact 7mm-08 for my daughter. I made some reduced loads using a Sierra 120gr bullet at 2450 fps and shoots 1 moa. Very pleased with this rifle and like the trigger. She took her first caribou with it at 150 yards with a complete pass through heart shot.

Ruger Americans are a fine basic rifle. Most are MOA capable, but some won't get that done. For a hunting rifle they are difficult to beat for the money.

I have one, shoots the hornady custom lite stuff in about 1.5-2" group. Havent tried any other ammo. I like it alot, very handy and good looking rifle.

Is anyone using the actions to build on? That's an awesome price to get a stainless lefty action.

Called them, they are located in Abilene. So taxes and shipping are added. Total $346. Still pretty good

Was thinking about one of these in 243 for my kids to have a deer rifle. However, in another thread I read that a heavy rifle is better for reduced recoil with young shooters. So not sure now.
