if you haven't tried this:

you are missing out.

you pair this stuff with some olive oil and red wine vinegar and it takes your sandwich to a whole nother level...I guarantee it up

I like the above combo with a little mustard, real mayo, 3 thin slices of tomato, a little shredded lettuce and onion, course black pepper and sea salt, with some good smoked ham, 1 thin slice of bologna and provolone cheese....mmm mmm good. up

what is your go to homemade sandwich?

I like to add some spicy banana peppers to mine. Also one time in S. Carolina we went to this little sandwich shop. Instead of lettuce, they use sprouts and the cheese they used was cream cheese. Though this was many years ago, it is still probably the best dam sandwich I have ever eaten.

Sounds a little fru-fru, but to each his own. Chipotle Mayo and fresh tomatoes are my go to sammich coverings.

I thought the same until my brother talked me into trying it, now I have to have it on every sandwich.

not sure how a sandwich condiment can be fru-fru. if I had to name any condiment fru-fru it would definitely be chipotle mayonnaise.

grin

Basil comes up on a volunteer basis ever spring in my garden. It seems bland to me. I like BLTs when my home grown tomatoes are in.

ah yes, bacon, another great piece if the puzzle. and on a BLT, the thicker the tomato slices the better.

I like the prices jalapeño pimento cheese. Add ham and it's heaven between slices of bread. Even better if you grill it like a grilled cheese sandwich.
