I know the AR10 platform is quite a bit more costly, but what is the most budget friendly lower and upper - stripped you can get?
For instance for the ar15 platform, you can get the anderson, which is pretty high quality for a very low price.

I know it's not stripped, but I just ordered the PSA Gen 2 AR 10 complete lower. Cost me 219 plus shipping. Really good deal IMO.

Aero Precision has their M5 stripped lowers for $185 and the stripped uppers are $135 So around $320ish for the set. The trick is to find them in stock though.

I've seen some some dpms complete for 700ish. I don't think it's gonna get any cheaper than that.

If you can be patient and assemble an upper yourself, you can build an AR-10 for under $600. Shop Palmetto state arms for their sales, JSE surplus, and anderson arms. Just make sure you get all the same platform as the parts aren't interchangeable between DPMS and Armalite.

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

Awesome....I prefer putting it all together. My ar15 was a cheap build because I just bought the parts as they came on sale.

Dang AR10s have really come down in price. When I was shopping for mine seems like even the DPMS ones were $1000-1200. I ended up spending over $3k on an AR10 but if I had to do it again Id probably build one.

I paid $79 for a blemished PSA 308 lower.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

There are high profile and low profile DPMS receivers and then the Armalite style. If you go DPMS style you just have to make sure you know what profile your upper is so you get a rail/forend that will fit correctly. Many of the rails have adapters to work with the high or low profile. I just got a new Odin Works 15.5" kmod forend (high profile) for my Aero M5 build and really like it.
