Much movement this evening? I decided to call it a day when the rain hit knowing I've got a busy week. Figured this evening would be good.

Pour there all day?

I drove through soup coming up 35 from Waco this afternoon. Took almost twice as long as normal. Miserable drive.

Didn't see anything yesterday evening. Decided to stay in this afternoon. Wife had a miscarriage. Ruined the mood. I'll be back in the woods eventually. Just giving up for now.

X's 2,
Been there before sir, still think about it after 27 years. Little angels go back to where they came from.

We had the same thing happen 8 years ago. Sorry to hear that. Stay close to your wife, she needs it right now.

Very sorry to hear that for you and your wife. Hopefully she gets lots of rest and both of you know prayers are being sent.

Thanks guys. She went to visit family today so I decided to give the woods another chance. Got skunked again so far. But have had a lot of time to think. God has a plan. I firmly believe that. He needed a little hunting buddy.

I hunt north of Alvord too off 1655 and Mathers Rd. Pics are defiantly not as many and having corn pile on ground a little. Hope the rain ruins some acorns for them. I am heading back this weekend, we will see.

Just had a youngish buck hit the feeder. No brow tine 5 point point, big body but likely 2 or 3 years old. Probably 12 inches wide. Would have let my 10 year old take him back if he was wider. Walked within 20 yards of us. I hate AR's sometimes.

We checked game cameras on Sunday after our hunt and we came across this picture. This road leads to one of our feeders and is in the center of our property. When we were walking to check cameras I noticed a tennis shoe print and got suspicious (picture confirmed). This picture was captured last Tuesday at 5:09 pm (picture time is an hour off due to time change). We contacted Opertion Game Thief and they said the property owner would have to be the one to report it (doesn't make sense to me since majority of hunters lease their property). Property is East of Decatur off of HWY 380. Be careful out there.

Welcome to Wise County.

Wish I could tell you this wasn't normal, but it is. I get multiple per year, though it's gotten better. It was a lot worse 10-20 years ago.

I'd be there on Tuesday afternoons to see if you can catch him.

I live on the property I hunt. I've only had one picture of a guy and it was at night. I knew the guy, took the picture to him and asked what was up. He was coon hunting and had a dog cross and was getting his dog. I'm okay with that. He runs gps collars on his dogs so we knew exactly where it was, got it, and headed back the same way he came. Foot prints proved it. But if I see lights at night or hear voices or anything then I will kick my 125 pound Shepard out and let him go investigate for me.
