Would have to buy it but this was intended as a funny. The results with people sitting in the deer stand the next morning would be rough.

We always make a muzzleloader trip to St francisville, just north of baton rouge on the state line, early November. The menu is as follows:
Lunches:
Chicken and sausage boudin, Louisiana hotsauce, and crackers.
Hog head cheese and crackers.
Smoked deer sausage.
Grilled bacon wrapped doves.
Oysters sucked straight of the shell, with sauce on a cracker, or chargrilled.

Dinners:
Chicken, sausage, and shrimp gumbo with rice and potato salad.
Fried backstrap, shrimp, frog legs, oysters, speckled trout, soft shell crabs, sweet potato fries, and okra.
Squirrel or rabbit gravy with mustard greens on the side.

Breakfast;
Funky grits and biscuits.
White sausage gravy and biscuits.
Breakfast burritos.
Smoked sausage sandwiches.

We bring domestic beers, craft beers, egg nog, mudslides, margaritas, screw drivers, salty dogs, and some of them bring whiskey. Always a good trip, and someone always sleeps in.

Depends on the weather, how cool, rainy etc. Stuffed jalapenos regardless, if its cold and wet venison chilly, warm and nice smoked ribs or grilled steaks or both up

Got 5 racks of ribs in the freezer now, so probably ribbies and whatever everyone else brings cheers

See some awsome eats on this page.

Andouie stuffed quail, wrapped in bacon would be on my list, but not opening weekend. Have a Hebert's Cajun meat market in west Houston, those stuffed birds are the bomb. Ain't spending over $100 on these guys though.
Maybe when about only 3 gonna show.

You guys do it right! And I would definitely be sleeping in...and scheduling an appointment with my cardiologist.

Both are awsome.

Good turduckens to, but pricey.

Too many men in camp for steaks. Brisket, ribs and pork shoulder on the smoker.
